Steph started volunteering in her local PDSA centre whilst completing a national diploma in animal science, and this experience confirmed her desire to become a veterinary nurse. She was fortunate enough to secure a trainee position in a local practice following the completion of her diploma in 1999, and then qualified in 2003 from Myerscough Agricultural College.  After working in a several practices within the North West, she moved to Liverpool University in 2007, where she currently holds the position of Internal Medicine Nurse.  Steph regularly speaks on medical nursing topics, including lecturing for the BSAVA and she is also the regional co-ordinator for the BVNA.
