Emma qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2001 and spent a further year in general practice before joining The Animal Health Trust in 2002 as a theatre nurse. She gained the Diploma in Advanced Nursing (Surgical) in 2006. Emma is passionate about continuing education for nurses and organises and speaks at CPD day courses for local nurses at The Animal Health Trust and lectures at BSAVA congress and at local colleges as well as writing for various nursing journals. Emma continues to work at The Animal Health Trust and for the last two years has worked as their anaesthesia technician. Emma is a certified Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anaesthesia and is a member of Academy of Veterinary Technician Anesthetists (AVTA).  Her interests lie in anaesthesia, analgesia, critical care and teaching.
