Kate graduated from Cambridge Vet School and then worked in mixed practice. She undertook a residency in anaesthesia at the Cambridge vet school funded by the Horserace Betting Levy Board and gained her RCVS Certificate and Diploma in anaesthesia and European College of Anaesthesia and Analgesia Diploma. She is Clinical Associate Professor of Anaesthesia at Nottingham Vet School and runs an independent consultancy business offering anaesthesia services to referral practices, pharmaceutical companies and first opinion practices.
